A quick update today to show you the semi-final files for the rulebook and expansion rules!
There’s just one person left that needs to give their ok, and that’s you! Please feel free to check them out and let us know what you think and anything we may have missed in the comments below.

Greetings heroes !
I hope you are all well and as we move from Winter to Spring I have some news for you all!
We have received the test prints, both 3D printed (brown) and moulded (white), from the factory:
As you can see they look awesome on the board! Of course, when you receive them they’ll be coloured!
Despite this we have Identified a few issues. The first one is the bases not being correctly sized, a bit of a silly oversight on our behalf but I’m sure you’ll agree that if the diameters were a bit more homogenized it would look a lot better. Another element that was slightly off is that we found ELI to be slightly too big for the “adolescent” size we had in mind so we’ll be shrinking her a bit too. These two changes have already been made and you can see the results below.
Details wise we’re happy with the moulded version. I admit it may be a bit difficult for you all to see as photographing this material is rather difficult but there’s not much loss between the 2 materials. There is one area that needs touching up though and that is the faces which, because of the plastic used, are slightly below the standard we’re aiming for. Therefore Daniel (the sculptor) will be reworking them slightly to react to the material better and then we’ll be set!
These changes of course take time but we were expecting them so there shouldn’t be any change to our original delivery date and we should indeed still be delivering ahead of schedule. At the moment, as long as everything goes well with the models, we’re looking to start production at the end of the month. We’ll of course be keeping you updated as we advance!
Finally, we’ll be getting back to you soon with the updated Rulebook as well as the Expansions rules (in English and French) for your comments and approval. These have taken longer than expected but I’m sure you’ll be happy with the results!

Greetings heroes,
First of all thank you to those that
messaged us and left comments concerning the rulebook, they've all
been taken into account and integrated so we're almost there !
Vincent has also laid out the Artbook
for the Collector's Edition. This being his first artbook (hard to
believe I know) he's made sure to take all the time necessary to make
it exactly how he wanted it and of course put all his thoughts to
paper (or keyboard in this case). What you can see below is the cover
and a few of these pages. They're still in French here awaiting the
layout for the english version.
Also things have been moving forward
with pre-production, Longshore are currently in the process of doing
test prints of the character models after having verified that the
size and details which you can see below. I'm hoping we'll be able to
show you these test prints in the next update.
As it stands we are now 95% complete
for the pledge manager with just a handful of people that have not
filled in their survey or whose card was declined. Once again, please
think get these in order at your earliest convinience.
Next week Kevin of Mandoo Games will be
present at the Cannes Games festival where he will be meeting with
distributors interested by Rising 5. The idea is of course to produce
any store copies at the same time as the kickstarter copies in order
to decrease the production and bulk shipping costs.
This is the final piece of the
production puzzle which, once complete, will allow us to set
everything in motion. It's at this point that I'll be locking down
the pledge manager as we go into production. Once we've confirmed
quantities and dates with the factory I'll update you guys on the
estimated production an, more importantly, delivery dates.

Please feel free to get back to us with any comments or errors you may have spotted. In order to make this process simple, we ask that you simply post your observations below and not via message or email ;)
Also, please note that there are still those that have not yet completed their PM and/or corrected their payment methods. We'll be sending reminders out again soon but please remember that we will be locking the PM system down at the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations and after that point we will not be able t guarantee a timely delivery to those that have not completed their forms.

Pledge Manager Lockdown

Greetings backers,
So as promised (or threatened maybe ?) the Pledge Manager is now locked down. For those of you wondering, we had a few latecomers with questions so to avoid any issues the PM remained open an extra 24hrs.
Now if you’re seeing this and thinking: “oh bugger, I haven’t completed my PM!” then never fear; you still can. There are about 50 of you in this situation so as per usual simply follow the link that was sent to you and take care of it as soon as you can.
If you can’t find said mail you can go to https://rising-5-runes-of-asteros.backerkit.com/ and enter the email address associated with your KS account to get it sent to you again.
After we locked down the completed surveys, some of your account’s returned a “payment refused” message. To correct this simply click the link in the email that you will have since received and follow the instructions :)
For both incomplete surveys and the payment errors you’ll have up to two weeks to correct them. After this point we’ll be going to print and it will be a lot more complicated to get your game to you.
So, where does this leave us now then?
With the completion of the Pledge Manager we have the almost exact numbers we need to place our order with the factory. Chinese New Year is almost upon us (for those of you not familiar with it, it basically means all the factories shut down for a few weeks) so our current course of action is to use that time to finalize all the relevant files (including the rulebook, yes I know I’m behind on that) so that when the time comes we can hit the ground running!
Once we have a precise calendar from the factory I’ll be sure to let you all know exactly what’s happening and when!
And to finish off, some more of Mr. Dutrait's work. The nefarious Moth none the less!
